Department of Physics Postech conducts Colloquium every Wednesday at 4 pm.
Colloquium means "to talk together", which is especially detailed and important. colloquium at physics department we invite the domestic and overseas experts to give lectures on topics in various fields not just physics Colloquium is a joint event for professors, students and researchers. We encourage participate all members of physics department so that they can be used as a good opportunity to widen their field of view and communicate with experts.

It is a program that helps students to understand the trending physical phenomena and to help them choose their future career directly participating in the research conducted by each Laboratory.
Period From June 24 (Mon) to 7. 5 (Fri), 2 weeks (Schedule can be partially adjusted)
for Science and Engineering College, 3rd and 4th year (Physics related major) & POSTECH students

Best Paper Award
Awarded regular prizes to graduate students who contributed to the department of physics with excellent research achievements.
The Best Paper Award is awarded to graduate students who have contributed to the department of physics with excellent research achievements and to encourage researchers of physics members including graduate students. Excellent paper prizes are awarded to more than one student per semester for graduate students of physics who have published excellent papers in famous journals both in domestic and overseas.

Postech Physics actively supports journal clubs, for graduate students to form groups freely to review and discuss papers on their research topics.
There is no limit to the field of research, and graduate students from different research field are encouraged to create journal clubs that discuss various papers on their own research topics. After applying for the journal club. 3 or 4 groups will be selected by the Graduate School Committee. selected group will be supported research expenses of up to 1.5 million won per year
