CO2 and climate change

본문

Global warming caused by CO2 released by human activities is now generally accepted by a majority of climate scientists. Earth’s climate has changed throughout the history of time by various factors. High CO2 concentration was the major factor controlling the climate system in the Mesozoic. However, for the last 400 thousand years, variation in solar insolation is believed to be the major cause of the glacial-interglacial cycling. The current rise in CO2 concentration in the atmosphere is causing warming on top of this natural cycle. I will introduce the science behind the global warming caused by greenhouse gases, global carbon cycling, and geochemical tools to reconstruct the paleo-environment
