It has introduced many key concepts, such as renormalization group, into condensed matter physics and continues to play a key role in recent application to mesoscopic physics. The Kondo problem is the protype of strongly correlated electron system, thus it requires nonperturbative method to understand the physics near and on the strong coupling fixed point. In this talk I outline the boundary conformal field theory approach to the Kondo problem which provides exact solution at the strong coupling fixed point, including correlation functions. "
