Perovskite Manganites Exhibiting Colossal Magneto Resistance: From Nan…

본문

" Over the last few years, a large amount of research has been undertaken towards understanding the physical properties of doped perovskite manganites, mainly because they exhibit a novel magneto transport property known as colossal magneto resistance (CMR). In this talk, some of our works regarding the CMR materials with nanometer scale will be presented. First, magnetic and magneto transport properties of nano-porous ferromagnetic La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 (LCMO) material prepared by the colloidal crystal templating method will be described. The resulting spherical voids in the LCMO framework are highly ordered and interconnected via small channels. Nano-composites consisted of ferromagnetic and ferroelectric materials were fabricated by infiltrating ferroelectric precursor compounds into the voids and sintering at high temperature fabricated, which will be discussed in the second part of this talk. Finally, I will discuss on the strain-induced magnetic stripe domains observed in thin films of La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 epitaxially grown on LaAlO3, NdGaO3, and SrTiO3 substrates by pulsed laser deposition. "
