Nanotech by the numbers

" Last decades we have observed an explosive progress in research of novel nanostructured materials such as fullerenes, carbon nanotubes, nanowires, and nanocrystals. The advancement of various experimental techinques and computationals tools and power enables the study of nanostructured systems with extreme accuracies and in a better controlled manner. Understanding the underlying mechanisms and exploring possible applications of nanosystems are real challenging goals in various fields of science and technology, helping lead post-silicon era. In this talk I will brief the current status of technology development using carbon nanotubes, especially for sensor applications, with a focus on the role of computational simulations."
